Frequently Asked Questions
What is floorball?
Floorball is a fast, low-contact sport that combines elements of hockey, soccer, and basketball.
What grades can participate?
Hockey Jams can be delivered schoolwide from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
How long does the program take?
The program is typically delivered over two weeks, with four lessons built into the school's PE schedule.
What is expected of our teachers?
Hockey Jams leads the program, so teachers don't need to plan or teach the floorball lessons. Some teachers participate, some observe, and some have other things going on. We get it. We've been there.
What does our school need to provide?
An indoor space, ideally the school's gymnasium, and a point person to confirm the gym schedule and navigate any scheduling conflicts.
How much does it cost?
Every school is different. We work with each school to find an option that fits its size, schedule, and needs.
